Snow Day Off
Leave comment
Today was a snow day off for Xen and I. We had 8 inches of snow fall last night. It look beautiful.

Xen is thrilled that they closed school... a three day weekend.

The road were too slippery for me to commute to Denver. I will be working out of the house today.

I will also be working outside the house shoveling snow later.

We had to take Niccole and Billy back to the airport. We decided to spend the day in Denver.

I took them to the building where I work. Not much to see.

We stopped by the Denver Mint. Found out we needed to make reservations. Bummer!

We ate outside at a small cafe on 16th street. It was Hot!

Then off to the Airport. After our tear filled goodbyes, Niccole and Billy went into the Airport. We drove home. It was a long drive. Xen started missing his sister righ away.

Relaxing

Today we all took some time to relax.

We went out to dinner at an Italian restaurant. The food was good and the company was great. We came home and played "Sence It".

Snow Skiing
Leave comment
Niccole and Billy are headed to Monarch Mountain to try their hand at skiing. Niccole was looking for a Resort that was less than 2 hours away from Colorado Springs.

Well it took them about 2 hours and 15 minutes to get to the Ski Resort. It snow that whole time they were there. Niccole was stiff from the experience.

She had a great time.

We spent day number two returning and/or exchanging broken Christmas gifts. Then we went to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. We only had about an hour to see all of the Zoo. We arrived late, 4:00 p.m. The Zoo closes at 5:00 p.m. Xen ran Niccole and Billy through as fast as he could.

Niccole loved the Gorillas the most. She said she could stay there all day and just observe them. Billy just likes being with Niccole. :)

We took them to our favorite Mexician Restuarant in Colorado Springs for dinner and then home.

Billy and Niccole want to go to bed early so they can get a early start tomorrow morning... skiing.

Garden of the Gods
Leave comment
The first place we had to take Niccole and Billy was to "The Garden of the Gods". Keep in mind that Niccole and Billy come from the tourist mecca of the World, ORLANDO. Needless to say, they were less than impressed with the tourist attractions here in Colorado Springs. But we had a good time anyway.

Happy New Year!

The Christmas Tree is still up. Heidi is ready to pull her hair out. She would pull mine out... if I had any. :) We are leaving it up for Niccole. Her fight gets in at 11:55 p.m. I will be picking her up from the Denver Airport.

Xen and I are going to visit a good friend of mine in Denver before heading to the Airport to get Niccole.

Niccole's fight arrived early. She said that she was getting in around 11:55 p.m. but... with the time change... it was 10:55 p.m. Xen and I were early arriving at the Airport too. So, with baggage claim and our earily arrival, we met the pick up area at the same time. How lucky is that?

Niccole and Xen slept the entire trip back to Colorado Springs. Billy (Niccole's boyfriend) and I talked the entire trip. When we arrived home, we all went to bed.
