We spent most of the day in the house. We were all sad to see them go to the airport. Mike Scialdone was kind enough to come to the house in his Hummer and take Niccole and Billy to the Colorado Springs Airport. After dropping them off, I receive a page informing me that their flight was delayed an hour and half.
The Scialdone's and the Miller's are going to dinner. We have been stuck in the house for 3 days. Both families are about to go nuts. |

Well it started snowing again. Niccole, Xen and Billy were out in it playing. Sleding, snowball fights and trying to build a snow man.

We all went up to Monarch for a day of skiing and snow boarding. I took my first lesson in skiing. Xen took a lesson on snow boarding. Heidi didn't feel like doing either. Niccole and Billy are old pros when it comes to skiing.

I went to a Bronco's game tonight. The Bronco's lost 23-20 to the Seattle Sea Hawks.
We had a great time. It was quite cold. But we were all bundled up.

The theme of Nicholas' 6th birthday party was ARMY. Nancy and Mike can throw a great birthday party. Major Rock painted all the kid's faces. Green, brown and black were the colors of the day.
Take a look at this cake!

Our friend Major Jason P. Rock was awarded the Bronze Star today. All of us are very proud of him. You can see the award in the lower right corner of the picture, pinned to his chest.
Here is a enlarged picture of the medal.
The Bronze Star Medal is awarded to any person who, while serving in any capacity in or with the military of the United States after 6 December 1941, distinguished himself or herself by heroic or meritorious achievement or service, not involving participation in aerial flight, while engaged in an action against an enemy of the United States; while engaged in military operations involving conflict with an opposing foreign force; or while serving with friendly foreign forces engaged in an armed conflict against an opposing armed force in which the United States is not a belligerent party. |
